ArtemisScribe aims to become the most comprehensive exploration of Information Studies on the Web. Created to prepare for the written qualifying examination for doctoral students in the Information Studies program at UCLA's Graduate School of Education & Information Studies, this site is a community-generated repository for material that demonstrates the origins and evolution of a field that traverses disciplines, schools of thought, cultures, and time.
Access to the ArtemisScribe community comes with several benefits, including:
- the ability to contribute to the understanding and articulation of the field of Information Studies
- interconnected content that highlights how, when, and by whom ideas concerning information and the problems associated with its access, use, maintenance, and transfer were (and are being) pondered, articulated, debated, and incorporated into the field
- networking with others across disciplines who share an interest in how Information Studies contributes to our understanding of the world
- a great way to study for quals
